Youth Congress workers held state-wide protests in Madhya Pradesh following the rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan's nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections. Demonstrations took place in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Morena, and Mandsaur, where protesters burned effigies of the Chief Election Commissioner.

Party leaders have submitted memorandums to the President of India through local district collectors, demanding a high-level investigation into the matter. The Congress party alleges that the nomination was rejected due to political pressure and has announced a series of protests to challenge the decision.
