Sudhakar Reddy Slams Congress Over Voter Roll Revision Doubts
Former MLC Dr Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy has spoken out against Congress for spreading doubts about the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. He was speaking to media in Khammam over phone on Tuesday.
Reddy pointed out what he called a clear double standard. Congress accepts the system when it wins but blames EVMs and institutions when it loses. That is hard to disagree with, if you think about it.
What Form 7 actually does
On Forms 6 and 7, he made an important point. Submitting Form 7 does not mean your name gets deleted right away. There is a proper verification, notice, and due process that must be followed first. This is a detail many voters get wrong.
His message to voters is straightforward. Genuine voters should trust that their rights are protected. Political parties can raise legitimate concerns, he said, but spreading misinformation about Election Commission and judiciary for political gain is not acceptable.
"When Congress wins, the system is perfect; when Congress loses, the system suddenly becomes defective. The people of India can clearly see through this hypocrisy," he added.

INDIA bloc to hold massive rally in Khammam on October 8
INDIA bloc and other party leaders have planned a big rally in Khammam on October 8. The protest is against reported irregularities in the way the Election Commission has been functioning.
DCC president Nuthi Satyanarayana Goud said a series of protests will be held across the district from October 2 to 8. Meetings and demonstrations will take place at mandal headquarters on October 3 and 4. A public information campaign with posters and pamphlets will run from October 5 to 7.
"A rally with around 10,000 people will go from Pavilion Ground to Ambedkar Centre at 10 am on October 8," he said.
Leaders of CPI, CPI(M), CPI (New Democracy), CPI(ML) Mass Line, TJS, AAP and other organisations attended the meeting and asked people to join the protest.

Congress Sets 7 Lakh Graduate Voter Target in Telangana MLC Constituencies
Congress is preparing in a big way for Telangana's two Graduate MLC elections in March 2027. The party has set a target of enrolling around seven lakh voters in each constituency. In 2021, five lakh voters were registered, so this is a sharp jump.
Two constituencies are going to polls. Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahbubnagar, represented by Surabhi Vani Devi, and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda, represented by Chintapandu Naveen Kumar. Both seats end in March 2027.
Voter enrolment started on 28 September 2026, as per Election Commission of India schedule. Congress has formed special teams across all six undivided districts covered by the two constituencies. A control room at Gandhi Bhavan will track daily progress for each constituency.
Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy is overseeing the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda exercise. He has called it a tough challenge. Even graduates already listed in previous rolls need to enrol afresh to become eligible for these MLC elections. Voters should keep that in mind.
The old numbers show how much room there is to grow. In 2021, 5,17,883 graduates enrolled in Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahbubnagar. That is more than double the 2.3 lakh in 2015. Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda had 5,05,565 registered voters. Both parties and the ruling Congress see big scope this time.
ECI Key Dates
Form-18 applications can be submitted until 6 November 2026. Draft voter list publishes on 25 November 2026. Claims and objections window runs from 25 November to 10 December 2026. Disposal of claims ends by 25 December. The final electoral roll comes out on 30 December 2026.
The GenZ factor could play a big role. Parties are reaching out to first-time eligible graduates through digital platforms and direct mobilisation. In-charge ministers and MLAs will handle enrolment once the ongoing special intensive revision concludes in early November.

CPM demands more voter revision centres in Khammam
CPM members protested at Khammam Municipal Corporation office. They asked officials to open a dedicated voter revision centre for each of the 60 city divisions. The party says the current 27 centres are not enough for the number of people. This causes problems for older people and other voters.
Better access for voters
Y Vikram, the CPM Khammam Division secretary, said many voters must travel up to 3 kilometres to reach their assigned centre. Authorities have sent over 80,000 notices in Khammam Assembly constituency. The few centres available have led to long lines and technical delays.
The party wants officials to make sure Booth Level Officers visit homes to help with document checks. They also want officials to fix network problems that slow down the photo upload process.
