Ranchi lags in voter mapping as Election Commission holds special camps
Election Commission has launched special camps across polling stations in Jharkhand to speed up voter mapping for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise. Ranchi is currently the lowest-performing district, with only 65.84 per cent of voters mapped against the 2003 electoral roll, falling behind the state average of 78.60 per cent.

Deadline: Voter mapping will continue until June 15.
Constituency performance:Hatia recorded the lowest mapping rate at 50.84 per cent, while Mandar leads with 82.98 per cent.
Process: Mapped voters generally do not need extra documents. Unmapped voters may receive notices from Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) to provide supporting documents.
Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar has urged citizens to participate in the camps to resolve issues regarding polling station identification and list updates.
