Special voter roll revision camps in Jharkhand
Ranchi residents can update voter details this week. Special camps happen at local polling stations on July 18 and 20. These support the ongoing update of voter rolls. Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar said booth level officers finished giving required forms to nearly 97 percent of voters.
How to update details
Visit your polling station on these dates if you did not get a form or need to fix mistakes. Officials are working to clear the ASDD list and make sure all data is digital. You can also use the voter service portal or the ECINET app from home. Apply before the deadline to finish your request on time.

Understanding Form 6 and the Self-Declaration Requirement
To register as a new voter, fill out Form 6. This form is your main way to get on the voter rolls. You can submit it online through the official ECINET website or hand it in to your local Electoral Registration Officer.
Many people ask about the self-declaration part. It is not new. Election Commission uses this to organize voter data better and make the submission process easier. Keep in mind that giving false information here is serious. It can lead to penalties or even jail time for up to one year.
Voter verification steps
Once you submit your form, a Booth Level Officer will check your details. After that, the Electoral Registration Officer confirms you meet the requirements. You must be an Indian citizen, at least 18 years old, and a resident of your constituency. Accuracy is important to make sure your name appears on the voter list.

Jharkhand to host Chunav Pathshala for voter list verification
Jharkhand will hold Chunav Pathshalas at every polling station on July 14. This scheme will make electoral roll verification clear for everyone. Booth Level Officers will read out names of voters listed as Absent, Shifted, Dead, or Duplicate during these sessions. It is a good way to keep voter lists accurate in districts like Ranchi.
Voter registration updates
Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar told officials to speed up digitising voter forms. Contact your local Booth Level Officer if you need help filling out forms. Official video tutorials are also available.
Only eligible Indian citizens should fill out these forms. Giving false information is a serious offence under Representation of the People Act, 1950.
