Jamtara

Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar ordered an investigation into mistakes found in voter registration forms. Officials spotted odd details during checks in Dhanbad, Jamtara, and Pakur. Some forms listed birth dates for siblings that do not make sense. Other forms seem to have been changed to claim government benefits.

Verification and registration updates

Electoral Registration Officers are now checking all documents to keep voter lists accurate. Special camps are happening across the state. These camps help new voters sign up and help families list all their names at one polling station.

The date to submit claims and objections is now September 15. The final voter list is set to come out on October 19.
