Election Commission begins EVM verification in Kolathur
Election officials are doing a technical check on Electronic Voting Machines from 14 polling stations in Kolathur Assembly constituency. DMK leader M.K. Stalin asked for this check after his seat loss.
## Technical check process
Engineers from Bharat Electronics Limited are looking at the machines inside a strong room in Chennai. Officials said this is just to check the hardware and microcontrollers. It is not a vote recount.
Candidates and their representatives are watching as teams verify the control units and VVPAT machines. Similar checks will happen in Uthiramerur and Rajapalayam. A request for Tiruppattur is waiting for the outcome of court cases.
