YSRCP demands review of ward delimitation in Andhra Pradesh
YSRCP leader Lella Appi Reddy asked State Election Commission to pause and look into the current ward boundary process. He says the way borders are drawn is confusing voters across the state.
Party leaders pointed out issues in Amaravati, Raptadu, and Tenali. Families on the same street are split into different wards. This does not make sense. Appi Reddy noted that in places like Prasannayapalli, voters are spread across 14 different wards.
Request for better maps
He wants the commission to check the area in person before finishing the voter lists. Clear information is very important. People should see accurate maps before voting begins.
YSRCP demands review of ward delimitation in Andhra Pradesh
Senior YSRCP leader Lella Appi Reddy has asked Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission to stop and review how ward boundaries are currently being drawn. He says the current setup is inaccurate and not based on proper data.
Party members say voters from the same family or street are ending up in different wards, which creates confusion. They pointed to specific problems in Prasannayapalli in Anantapur and the Tenali Municipality.
Reviewing ward boundaries
In those areas, ward numbers were raised without following logical geographical patterns. YSRCP wants staff to check these areas on the ground and release corrected maps before finishing the final voter lists.
