Kerala High Court issues notice to Payyannur MLA over election petition
Kerala High Court asked Payyannur MLA V. Kunhikrishnan to file a response to an election petition. Rival candidate T.I. Madhusoodhanan filed this legal challenge after the recent polls.
The petition says Mr. Kunhikrishnan used election malpractice by sharing false claims against his opponent. Mr. Kunhikrishnan won his seat as an independent candidate after the Communist Party of India (Marxist) expelled him. The court is now looking into these misconduct claims.
