Samajwadi Party protests over voter list irregularities in Mau
Samajwadi Party workers held a protest at the collectorate in Mau, alleging significant errors in the voter list. The party leaders submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate, demanding an impartial investigation into the matter.
Key allegations include:
- Names of the same individuals appearing multiple times under different EPIC numbers.
- Potential for electoral fraud due to duplicate entries across various polling booths.
- Alleged negligence by Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
The party has demanded the immediate removal of duplicate entries and strict action against responsible officials. They have warned of launching a state-wide protest if the voter list is not rectified promptly.
