Voter Roll Hearings Underway in Telangana
Special Intensive Revision hearings have started in Telangana. Officials have already rejected four applications during the initial check. Two rejections happened in Malkajgiri and two in Nagarkurnool.
Processing voter notices
State election officials are working through a list of over 92 lakh notices. These notices go to voters who have missing details or data errors compared to past records. The goal is to process over 2 lakh notices daily. So far, only a small number have been delivered.
If an application is rejected, do not worry. You can file an appeal with the District Election Officer within 15 days. If needed, a second appeal can go to the Chief Electoral Officer. The process for claims and objections stays open until October 15.

Asaduddin Owaisi addresses drug crisis and electoral roll updates in Hyderabad
Asaduddin Owaisi has asked the youth of Hyderabad and Telangana to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Speaking at the party office in Darussalam, the AIMIM leader shared his worry about the growing use of drugs like MDMA, cocaine, and synthetic pills. He offered to help those struggling with addiction find treatment centers. He also promised to provide legal support for people facing cases under the NDPS Act.
## Public safety and electoral updates
Owaisi also asked the state government to set up Anti-Murder Squads in Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri. He explained that a city looking to attract global investment must make public safety a top priority.
People are also encouraged to check their details in the current electoral roll revision. The Election Commission is taking correction requests until September 17. If your name is not on the list, submit Form 6 to your local Booth Level Officer. The AIMIM office in Darussalam can also help with this process.

Congress demands strict oversight of Hyderabad voter rolls
Mahesh Kumar Goud, president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, is worried about fewer voters in the Hyderabad area. In a recent virtual meeting, he told party members to watch the voter list update process closely. He thinks finding and fixing mistakes is very important.
Reviewing voter lists
Goud spoke to leaders from Zaheerabad, Medak, Malkajgiri, and Secunderabad. He told Booth Level Officers to stay alert. Every vote needs a check to avoid errors. The party is concerned about possible issues and wants to make sure voter lists are correct before the next steps.

Malkajgiri Voters Urged to Submit Forms Before Deadline
Voters in Malkajgiri Assembly constituency need to act fast. With the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) deadline on August 3, over 1.35 lakh residents still need to submit their forms.
Election officials are busy with the digitisation process. Out of 5,13,144 registered voters, they have processed 3,77,223 so far. During field visits, officials identified many people as Absent, Shifted, or Dead.
Check your voter status
If you vote in this area, submit your details right away. This is very important to keep your name on the electoral rolls. Residents who have moved or now want to vote in Andhra Pradesh should also update their records so the list is accurate.

BJP Alleges Voter Intimidation During Telangana SIR Process
BJP leaders in Telangana spoke to the Chief Electoral Officer about the current Special Intensive Revision process. A group led by state president N. Ramchander Rao said that workers from rival parties are pressuring Booth Level Officers to stop eligible people from signing up.
These complaints involve Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Malkajgiri, and Chevella. Many IT workers and people who moved here from other states are having problems signing up.
Election Registration Concerns
Rao noted that these residents have a legal right to sign up in the place where they live. The party asked election officials to keep the process fair. They need to make sure that Booth Level Officers can do their work without any fear or pressure before the August 3 deadline.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to Review Electoral Roll Revision Process
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will lead a review meeting on July 19 about the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of voter lists in Telangana. This online meeting happens after the Election Commission pushed back the deadline for Booth Level Officers to finish home visits from July 24 to August 3.
Low voter participation is becoming a problem. Although enumeration forms reached most homes, less than 55 percent of voters have turned them back in. Cities like Hyderabad, Malkajgiri, and Rangareddy have very low response rates. Congress leaders are worried this lack of interest could cause real voters to be removed from the final lists.
Reviewing voter list progress
Ministers and legislators now have to explain the slow progress in their districts. The Chief Minister previously said that ignoring this work is not allowed. He may take action against those who fail to help voters complete their forms on time.
