Allegations of Address Misuse Against Former MLC in Mysuru
Controversy surrounds Mysuru after Supreme Court Advocate D. Arun Das accused former Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Marithibbegowda of using his home address for election purposes. The advocate states that his house in Kuvempunagar was used to register the former MLC as a voter to help him run for the South Teachers Constituency.
Details of allegations
Arun Das claims this happened for over 10 years and involved false voter registrations and land-related legal notices. The case is now with the Prime Minister Office and the Election Commission. A formal investigation is starting, and the Mysuru City Corporation must do a site check and send in a report. People looking for official voter data in nearby areas can check the Krishnaraja or Krishnarajanagara assembly constituency records.
Marithibbegowda denies these claims. He says he once rented that property and knew the advocate's father well. He calls the claims false and notes that he has already given a full explanation to local officials.
