Rajasthan government plans to introduce UCC Bill
Urban Development Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra said the state government might present a Uniform Civil Code Bill in the next Assembly session. He was speaking in Kota. He mentioned that making a common civil law for all citizens is a main aim for the current government.
Kharra also talked about Jal Jeevan Mission. Central government has extended the project deadline and given more funds for Rajasthan. This happened after Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma asked the Prime Minister for help to fix old rollout problems.

Preparations for urban body elections are mostly done. State has finished municipal boundary expansions and ward delimitation. Rajasthan High Court recently supported the government's power to handle these administrative changes across 113 urban local bodies.
