Ghazipur

Residents of Dharikala village in Devkali block have submitted a formal complaint to the District Magistrate of Ghazipur, Anupam Shukla, alleging the unauthorized removal of 139 names from the local voter list. The villagers claim that these names were deleted due to the influence of certain individuals, despite previous verification processes.

The complainants stated that while the 2026 electoral roll initially identified 444 valid voters after Aadhaar verification, the subsequent deletion of 139 names has disenfranchised many citizens. The District Magistrate has assured the villagers that a thorough investigation into the matter will be conducted.
