Concerns raised over voter list deletions
Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram raised questions about the Special Intensive Revision process. He stated that voter deletions across three phases reached 14 percent of the total electorate. Citing work by Rahul Shastri and Yogendra Yadav, he said over 13 crore citizens were removed from electoral rolls. This issue is important for every Indian voter to check.
Political debate over security
Separately, a debate happened between Chidambaram and BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar about the 2013 Naxal attack in Bastar. The discussion covered past security policies and political responsibility. Citizens should check their registration status through official channels to make sure their names are still on the list.
