Election Results

Some races were very close. For example, the contest in Ward 28 was decided by only three votes, while Ward 8 was won by a five-vote difference. Conversely, Ward 55 saw a big win for Congress with a margin of 1,265 votes. Independent candidates also won seats in five wards, specifically Wards 1, 21, 26, 37, and 54, which adds a different mix to the local council.

This election is part of a wider civic exercise across Rajasthan involving many urban local bodies. You can find the full ward-wise list and official updates on the state election portal.

Congress leader Sachin Pilot has raised concerns about the election process in Rajasthan. While visiting Barmer, he stated that BJP was allowed to submit election symbols in Jodhpur and Alwar after the deadline.

Pilot is supporting party colleague Divya Maderna, who has been protesting this issue. He asked election officials to take action to make sure the process is fair and keep public trust. He also mentioned that BJP is dealing with internal arguments because several candidates are showing up with their symbols.

Opposition leaders in Rajasthan are questioning how fair the local body election process is. Tikaram Jully, the leader of the opposition, said that BJP candidates were allowed to hand in party symbol forms after the 3 pm deadline on Monday.

## Election irregularities reported

Complaints have come up in places like Bhilwara, Alwar, Baseri, Mathania, Jodhpur, and Barmer. Divya Maderna, a former Congress MLA, stayed out all night in Mathania to protest. She said officials let BJP members into the office after closing time but kept Congress representatives out.

Sachin Pilot also criticized the State Election Commission. He said the commission is acting under government pressure. There are over 10,000 councillor posts to be filled in 309 local bodies. These arguments have created doubt about the voting, which is set for September 9 and 11.
