Telangana Congress Flags Pre-Printed Form 7s in Goshamahal
Telangana Congress has raised a new alarm over pre-printed Form 7 applications, this time from Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad. The party says these blank forms were meant to remove eligible Muslim voters from the electoral rolls.
Pulipati Rajesh Kumar, chairman of TPCC Election Commission Coordination Committee, said a BJP booth-level assistant gave the forms to the BLO of Polling Station 173 in Asif Nagar. The BLO reportedly did not accept them.
Goshamahal is represented by T Raja Singh, who won the seat three times on a BJP ticket before leaving the party in 2025. Similar Form 7 applications were found earlier in Musheerabad and Bahadurpura constituencies.
What election officials are doing
Telangana CEO Sudharshan Reddy has said election officials will check every Form 7 application before making any decision. The Election Commission of India has also told Electoral Registration Officers to look into cases where one person files more than five Form 7 applications to delete voters.

Voter List Discrepancies Found in Hyderabad
Questions are being raised about the accuracy of voter lists in Hyderabad. Over 1.52 lakh voters were confirmed during a pre-election exercise. These voters are now listed as dead, shifted, or untraceable under the ASDD list.
Concerns over voter verification
This change happened across four constituencies: Chandrayangutta, Bahadurpura, Yakutpura, and Charminar. The sudden shift has people worried about how the verification process works.
Civil society groups have contacted the Chief Election Commissioner. They want more clarity. These groups are asking for daily updates and online access to status reports. They want to make sure no real voter is removed by mistake. It is unclear how so many verified people lost their voting status without a clear reason.

High Share of Women Among Deleted Voters in Hyderabad
Recent data from the Special Intensive Revision exercise in Hyderabad shows that women account for 47.8% of the 19,41,444 names removed from voter rolls. A study by SABAR Institute points out that five constituencies in the Old City area had the highest share of female deletions.
Bahadurpura, Chandrayangutta, Karwan, Yakutpura, and Malakpet saw many women removed from the voter list. Researchers noted that in some areas, the number of deleted names was higher than the total votes cast in earlier elections. The study used name-based methods to group these deletions. Researchers noted there is no proof of any intentional targeting of a specific community.
Reasons for voter list changes
The report says permanent moving is the main reason for these deletions. Eligible people should check their status on official electoral rolls. This will make sure their names are included for upcoming elections.

Voter exclusion concerns in Hyderabad during SIR-2026
Voters in Basharath Nagar are having trouble. Two residents from Bahadurpura Assembly Constituency noticed their names are missing from the Draft Electoral Roll. This happened even though they submitted their forms. Social activist S.Q. Masood reported this to the Chief Election Commissioner and local election officials.
## Voter list errors
Officials marked Khudsia Begum and Abdul Quddus as untraceable or shifted. This is wrong because they provided all required documents. Quddus has lived at his address for 30 years. Masood is asking for a check of Booth Level Officer records. He wants to make sure these names are added back if the people are still eligible.

Hyderabad lags in voter enumeration for Special Intensive Revision
Hyderabad is lagging in the Special Intensive Revision 2026. While other parts of Telangana reached a 78.26 per cent digitisation rate for voter forms, our city is at just 58.89 per cent. It is concerning to see this level of participation.
Out of more than 47 lakh electors, nearly 20 lakh forms are pending or not collected. Booth Level Officers visited homes, but many residents did not return their completed forms. Bahadurpura had the best progress at 65.33 per cent, while areas like Sanath Nagar and Malakpet struggled.
Voter list updates
Election Commission of India will publish the draft electoral roll on August 17. Voters should know that this process is very important for accurate rolls. The notice phase continues until October 15, and the final list is scheduled for October 19.

Hyderabad Voter Roll Revision Deadline Ends Today
Many enumeration forms are still uncollected in Hyderabad as the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls ends today. Officials say that 39 percent of the city's voters still have forms to process. This is a problem for the current exercise.
Old City areas have the most pending forms. Chandrayangutta and Malakpet have the most uncollected data. Bahadurpura is doing a bit better. Greater Hyderabad makes up a large portion of these pending records across Telangana.
Submit forms today
Today is the final day to submit enumeration forms to your local Booth Level Officer or through the official online portal. Because digital entry rates in Hyderabad are lower than the state average, people should act now to make sure their details are correct.
