TRS to Contest Khairatabad By-Election, Kavitha Raises Voter List Concerns
TRS president K. Kavitha has confirmed her party will field a candidate in the upcoming Khairatabad Assembly by-election. The seat opened up after Danam Nagender was disqualified. The Supreme Court dismissed his challenge to that disqualification.
Kavitha also raised concerns about the voter list revision. She said some voters are being removed because of clerical errors. People are suspicious about how this is being handled, she said, and that is a worrying sign for any democracy.
She also took a dig at elected representatives who switch parties after winning on a different ticket. Fair point, honestly. Voters deserve better than that kind of political opportunism.
Healthcare and other issues
On healthcare, Kavitha pointed to reported deaths of children at RIMS in Adilabad and called for more attention to Telangana's government hospitals. She said patients face problems at NIMS and Niloufer. She also said Aarogyasri dues are still pending.
Kavitha also denied allegations about her farmhouse. She said the property is not on illegal or encroached land. She claimed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is trying to distract from real issues by targeting her and the opposition.

BRS leaders question Election Commission over MLC voter registration deadline
BRS leaders raised concerns about the Election Commission of India schedule for graduate MLC voter registration. A group led by MLC L Ramana met the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer to protest the November 6 deadline for submitting Form 18.
MLC D Sravan Kumar said this date makes little sense because the final voter list is not due until November 20. He noted that voters cannot correctly finish their forms without their polling station or EPIC details. The party says this process lacks planning and may confuse many people.
Concerns about voter lists
Sravan is also worried about the current Special Intensive Revision. He said poor public information campaigns could lead to the removal of nearly 90 lakh votes across the state. This includes areas like Charminar, Adilabad, and Suryapet. The delegation asked for a two-week extension to help more people take part.

Telangana CEO Reviews Voter List Revision Process
Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy recently checked the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Adilabad and Nirmal. He said that accuracy is very important. Officials must make sure every eligible person is on the list. They also need to remove names of people who have died or moved away for good.
Voter list updates
During his visits, the CEO talked with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to check survey forms and new registration applications. He asked officials to help young people turning 18 sign up to vote. Clarity is the top priority for this work. If you need to fix your name, age, or address, now is the time to do it through your local BLO.

Telangana CEO Reviews Electoral Roll Revision in Adilabad
Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharsan Reddy recently visited Tamsi and Bhimpur mandals to check the current Special Intensive Revision of voter lists. Along with Adilabad District Collector Rajarshi Shah, he reviewed the work done by Booth Level Officers.
Officers must make sure the voter list is correct. This involves adding young people who have turned 18 and taking off names of people who have died or moved away. Field inspections are very important for keeping the database accurate.
Voter list updates
District officials are focusing on letting people know about this update. Please check your details in the voter list. Booth Level Officers are available to help you with questions or your registration applications.

Analysis reveals 14.9 lakh Muslim names excluded from Telangana electoral rolls
A recent look at the Election Commission of India draft voter rolls for Telangana shows a worrying trend. About 14.9 lakh voters with Muslim names have been flagged for possible removal under categories like absent, shifted, dead, or duplicate. Hyderabad makes up more than half of these cases.
Data shows that in Hyderabad, 40 out of every 100 voters with Muslim names are missing from the draft rolls. In the other 32 districts, this number is 13 out of every 100. Most of these removals, about 61.6 per cent, are due to voters being marked as shifted.
Voter list concerns
Districts such as Nizamabad, Nirmal, and Adilabad also have high rates of names being left out. Because Indian voter rolls do not list religion, this study used name-based patterns to track the data. Check your registration status to make sure your name was not removed by mistake from the final list.

Congress to conduct house-to-house survey in Telangana
Congress leaders are starting a home visit survey at all polling booths in Adilabad and other districts of Telangana. This work helps check voters marked as absent, moved, deceased, or duplicate in Election Commission draft rolls.
Survey details
Sachin Sawant, the AICC in-charge, said the party will not rely only on official data. They plan to collect their own information to help stop genuine voters from being removed. The party will file formal objections after the draft rolls are out. This work is very important to make sure eligible citizens are not wrongly taken off the voting lists.
