JD(S) seeks BJP support for Hiriyur bypoll
Political heat is rising in Karnataka as parties prepare for Hiriyur Assembly by-election. This happens after Congress MLA D Sudhakar passed away. JD(S) is moving fast. They want BJP to let them contest the seat under NDA banner.
H D Kumaraswamy is talking with BJP leaders to make this happen. He thinks combining vote shares from 2023 election makes NDA a strong contender. Local leaders are already working on the ground. BJP is focusing on booth-level work while waiting for a final decision from alliance leaders.
Political dynamics in Chitradurga
Kumaraswamy is balancing his role as Union Minister with active state politics. It's a tricky act. Both Congress and NDA see this as a big test of strength in Chitradurga region.
Kumaraswamy questions Karnataka electoral roll revision process
Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy has raised concerns about the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Karnataka. In a Bengaluru press conference, he questioned the State Chief Electoral Officer's claim that the process had no big mistakes.
Kumaraswamy said he and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi already gave documents to Election Commission. These papers show the revision happened in groups in areas like Ramanagara and Yeshwanthpur. He asked why 35 Booth Level Officers got notices if everything was done by the rules.
Electoral Roll Dispute
State Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbu Kumar previously denied these claims. He says the work followed Election Commission of India rules. Meanwhile, talk about Hiriyur assembly by-election is growing. There is now pressure inside Janata Dal (Secular) to field a candidate.
BJP plans state-wide campaign against Karnataka government over voter revision
Top BJP leaders met in Bengaluru on Sunday to plan their strategy against state government. The core committee spent a lot of time talking about Special Intensive Revision of voter lists. Party members say the government is trying to control this process. They already told Election Commission about it.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and other senior leaders will meet chief electoral officer soon. They want to challenge the current revision process using legal and political ways. BJP is also getting ready for Hiriyur assembly bypoll with alliance partner, JDS.
Party Discipline and Planning
Internal discipline was another main point. Leaders were warned not to speak to media without permission. This ensures a single voice for the party.
