Congress high command has approved adding 20 leaders to Karnataka Cabinet. This new cabinet has seven Scheduled Caste (SC) ministers. It includes three from SC (Right), two from SC (Left), one Lambani representative and one Bhovi representative.
The government has also included three Scheduled Tribe (ST) ministers and four key positions are now held by members of the Muslim community. This includes three Cabinet ministers and Chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council. It is a first for state.
