Danam Nagender Alleges Large-Scale Voter Deletions In Telangana
Hyderabad, October 1: Danam Nagender has raised serious concern over large-scale voter deletions in Telangana. He says assistant electoral registration officers and other officials are working with the BJP to quietly remove names from the voter lists. These claims have not been independently checked yet.
Nagender says he will file a formal complaint with Election Commission of India and ask for criminal action against the officials involved in the deletions. He is firm on this point.
What worries him most is this: real voters who took part in past elections have been wiped off the lists. He wants a full check of all deleted entries and immediate restoration of eligible voters. Protecting voter rights, he says, is non-negotiable.
Nagender also questioned why Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly raised concerns over the Special Intensive Revision process. His remarks come during a growing controversy over voter list revisions and alleged voter deletions across multiple states. Election Commission has said that any changes to voter lists must strictly follow established legal steps.

Danam Says SIR Won't Affect Khairatabad Bypoll
Former Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender has ruled out any effect of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) on the upcoming Khairatabad Assembly by-election. He spoke to reporters near the Indira Gandhi statue at Necklace Road in Hyderabad on Monday. He said the election result would be striking and unexpected, leaving everyone stunned.
Nagender was taking part in a Congress party rally. He said BJP has been manipulating the office of the Chief Election Commissioner. He claimed Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy won his Lok Sabha seat through such manipulation. He did not give any evidence to back up these serious charges.
Demands Resignation of Chief Election Commissioner
He asked Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign immediately. If the CEC does not step down, Nagender said Supreme Court should take suo motu action to remove him from office. The Khairatabad by-election is likely to see sharp debate over SIR and the conduct of Election Commission in the days ahead.

TRS to Contest Khairatabad By-Election, Kavitha Raises Voter List Concerns
TRS president K. Kavitha has confirmed her party will field a candidate in the upcoming Khairatabad Assembly by-election. The seat opened up after Danam Nagender was disqualified. The Supreme Court dismissed his challenge to that disqualification.
Kavitha also raised concerns about the voter list revision. She said some voters are being removed because of clerical errors. People are suspicious about how this is being handled, she said, and that is a worrying sign for any democracy.
She also took a dig at elected representatives who switch parties after winning on a different ticket. Fair point, honestly. Voters deserve better than that kind of political opportunism.
Healthcare and other issues
On healthcare, Kavitha pointed to reported deaths of children at RIMS in Adilabad and called for more attention to Telangana's government hospitals. She said patients face problems at NIMS and Niloufer. She also said Aarogyasri dues are still pending.
Kavitha also denied allegations about her farmhouse. She said the property is not on illegal or encroached land. She claimed Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is trying to distract from real issues by targeting her and the opposition.

Bandi Sanjay Challenges Congress Over Khairatabad Bypoll
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticised Congress about the by-election in Khairatabad. During a talk with reporters in Karimnagar, he said Congress will have a hard time in the election. The seat opened up after Telangana High Court disqualified Danam Nagender for switching parties while in office.
Election situation
Political tension is high. Nagender went to Supreme Court to challenge the disqualification. BJP is getting ready for the race. Election Commission has not shared the dates for the by-election yet. Bandi Sanjay also asked why Congress leaders are visiting private farmhouses, which has started more talk in local political circles.

Telangana High Court Disqualifies Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender
Political tensions are high in Telangana after the High Court disqualified Danam Nagender as the MLA for Khairatabad. A bench led by Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh ruled that Nagender was disqualified starting April 23, 2024. This happened because he ran for the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat on a Congress ticket while still holding his BRS assembly seat.
Raghunandan Rao comments on ruling
BJP Medak MP Raghunandan Rao spoke about the ruling. He criticized Nagender for often changing parties to match whichever party holds power. Rao expects the BJP to win if a by-election happens for the seat. Election Commission of India will decide what happens next once the Speaker confirms the seat is empty.
Nagender says he might take this case to the Supreme Court. For now, voters in Khairatabad are waiting to see what happens next with the election.

Telangana High Court Disqualifies Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender
Telangana High Court disqualified Danam Nagender as the MLA for Khairatabad. This happened because he ran for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as a Congress candidate while still holding the assembly seat he won with BRS in 2023.
Court ruling and next steps
Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy supported the decision, noting it keeps political switching in check. The court overturned the Assembly Speaker's earlier choice to ignore disqualification pleas. This makes the Khairatabad seat vacant. A by-election for the area is likely, depending on the schedule from the Election Commission.
BJP and BRS had both questioned the Speaker for not acting earlier. They argued that rules about switching parties must be followed. This is a reminder that representatives must follow the rules of their mandate.
