Voters in Hyderabad face issues with missing acknowledgement receipts
Voters across many areas in Hyderabad are unsure about their status during the special revision of the voter list. Even though the Chief Electoral Officer gave clear rules, booth-level officials are not giving required receipts after people submit their documents.
Voter registration problems
Residents in Riyasathnagar and Jubilee Hills say officials are taking their documents but failing to give any proof of submission. This leaves citizens worried about whether their applications will go through before the final voter list comes out on November 9. Volunteers mention that officials seem more interested in hitting targets than in making sure people have the records they need to check their application progress.

Hyderabad Voter Verification Faces Delays
Election officials in Hyderabad are working fast. They are currently doing a big re-verification check, but 5.27 lakh voters are still waiting for their notices. This Special Intensive Revision helps clean up voter lists by finding mistakes and incorrect entries.
Managing the backlog
This is a big job. Officials have already sent out 7.26 lakh notices, but the remaining backlog makes it hard to hit the September 16 deadline for hearings. Secunderabad Cantonment, Musheerabad, and Jubilee Hills have the most pending notices. Authorities have brought in 10 extra Assistant Electoral Officers to help manage the work.
Check your status if you are a voter. The final voter list comes out on October 19. You can still apply for new registrations or fix details through official channels. Watch for awareness programs at your local polling station.

Jubilee Hills Sees Major Voter List Changes
Jubilee Hills may soon no longer be the area with the most voters in Hyderabad. A recent Special Intensive Revision exercise caused major changes. Official data shows 1,48,859 voters moved their registration to other places. That is a large number.
The constituency now has 2,27,219 registered voters. Officials found 53,166 entries with details that did not match and marked 13,500 voters as absent. Other removals included 8,232 deaths and 7,279 duplicate entries. These changes mostly happened in Rahmatnagar, Shaikpet, Borabanda, and Yousufguda.
Changes in voter lists
Political parties are checking these forms now during the claims and objections period. They want to make sure no eligible voter is left out. The number of divisions in the constituency grew from seven to 12. Because of this, the local political map is changing.

Hyderabad Election Authority to Issue Notices to 5.82 Lakh Voters
Election officials in Hyderabad will send notices to over 5.8 lakh voters starting August 17. This follows the release of the draft voter list for the Special Intensive Revision 2026. If your details could not be matched with 2002 electoral records, a local booth-level officer may contact you.
## Verifying voter records
Officials are working to link current voter information to past records or family history to clean up the lists. Do not worry if you receive a notice. It does not mean your name is being removed. You have until September 16 to file claims or objections. If you do not have your 2002 details, you can provide any of the 12 identity documents accepted by the Election Commission of India to confirm your status.
Secunderabad Cantonment has the highest number of unmatched voters, followed by Jubilee Hills and Musheerabad. Keep in touch with your local election office to make sure your information is correct before the final list is published on October 19.

Hyderabad Election Authorities to Verify 5.82 Lakh Unmapped Voters
Election officials in Hyderabad will send notices to 5.82 lakh voters. These people were not linked to 2002 Special Intensive Revision electoral rolls. This does not mean your name is being removed immediately. It is simply a checking step.
This process covers 15 assembly constituencies. Secunderabad Cantonment has the most unmapped entries, with nearly 66,450. Other areas like Jubilee Hills and Musheerabad also have many entries. Do not worry if you receive a notice. You will get a chance to submit your documents and show you are eligible.
Verification process details
Officials are checking for address changes and errors in old records. Keep your documents ready for the upcoming hearings. This helps clean up the voter list and protects eligible citizens.

Concerns raised over massive voter deletions in Telangana
Recent Special Intensive Revision survey data shows that over 45 lakh voters might be taken off electoral rolls because of permanent migration. Out of the entire state voter base, more than 73 lakh records are marked as uncollectable. This big process has raised questions about how clear the system is.
Reports say Booth Level Officers might not have handed out enumeration forms correctly in several areas. In constituencies like Khairatabad, Jubilee Hills, Malakpet, and Yakutpura, thousands of people were marked as shifted without enough checking. Many residents say they could not find officials to get their forms. This makes people worry that real voters could lose their right to vote. The jump in deletion requests during the final days of the survey is a main point of concern for many.
Check your voter status
If you think your name was flagged by mistake, check your status through official channels as soon as possible.
